New Climbers

First things first - we need a waiver for every person entering the facility.

For those under age 18, this means we need a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. Parents should complete an online waiver in advance if they won’t be accompanying their child.



Drop in any time! No previous experience is required to use our bouldering walls and auto-belays.

Bouldering is a type of climbing that is done on shorter walls without the use of ropes. The goal is to touch a finishing hold, or sometimes even top out (climb onto the top of the structure). The floor is covered with thick mats so that climbers have a cushy landing when they jump down. Top-outs are permitted on some walls, where designated down-climbs are available for the climber when they finish a climb.

Auto-belays are installed throughout the gym, which allow climbers without rope-handling experience to get onto our tall walls! After a quick tutorial by one of our staff, you will be able to climb up as high as you are able, then be gently lowered to the ground by the automatic braking system in the device.

  • The Intro to Bouldering Class (ages 14+) will teach you the basics of bouldering, include basic movement, footwork technique, types of holds, grading system, and gym etiquette.

  • The Intro to Ropes Class (ages 14+) will teach you how to top rope belay and use climbing safety equipment. When you're done with the class you'll be ready to swap belays with your partner up any of our top rope stations. This class is run regularly every Monday, Tuesday ,and Thursday, includes all necessary equipment, and can be scheduled any time with advanced notice.
